Fire effect tutorial

 Good morning,

I've posted recently on my instagram a quick tutorial how to paint a fire effect.

I think it is a good idea to have it here on my blog as well:)

Step 1) White basecoat applied with airbrush from above.
Step 2) Orange basecoat and white wash in recesses
Step 3) yellow applied from airbrush
Step 4) yellow + white mix wash in ratio 1:1 just in the area of the source and edge highlighting the nearby areas
Step 5) Darkening the upper parts of the flame with pure black and dark red paint.

That's all, really fast and effective way  to achieve quite realistic fire effect with osl.

And here you can see the effect on the already finished model. It was a fast tabletop level painting as I just wanted to have another Terminator model ready:)

Orc Warband form Warhammer Underworlds!

My newest paintjob, a quick commission for a friend, the Orc Warband from Warhammer Underworlds!

Can you imagine these were my first painted orc models ever? But it was a blast and I had a huge fun while painting them:)

Jelsen Darrock, the witch hunter from the Cursed City boxed game painted and ready to burn the heretics!

I love this model, one of the best minis that GW made recently, amazing stuff. I wanted to paint him clean but dark. The colors which I used are totally different from how I paint normally, but this adventure was thrilling and fun.

I ordered some candles from Green Stuff World which made the last touch on this piece.

Grey Knights Paladins

 Hello there!

Finally I present you my new unit of Grey Knights Paladins!

It took me way too long to finish them, but it was a busy time recently and I'm glad I pushed myself to finish them nonetheless.

Dark Angels Ravenwing Outrider

 The first test model of my small Ravenwing army. I want to build an all-bike force, including some outriders, black knights, attack bikes and so on:)

Lord Kaldor Draigo, Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights

 And another new Grey Knights HQ model is finished!

This time I pushed myself to paint eventually the Kaldor Draigo. This is an old, metal miniature and it was quite annoying to paint, but I'm happy that I've already finished him!
